We have just two bedrooms at Yew Tree Cottage: the Gables room and the Beams room. Both have 4’6″ (138cm) double beds, televisions and DVDs, tea and coffee making equipment, hairdryers, radios, alarm clocks and are of typical Cotswold cottage style. The Beams room is a little larger than the Gables room, but the Gables room has an ensuite bathroom, so it balances out in the end!
The Gables room is a pretty bedroom with, perhaps unsurprisingly, gabled windows and a very comfy double bed. The room looks out over our kitchen garden and is an oasis of quiet and calm.
The Gables room also has a lovely, modern ensuite bathroom ideal for a lazy soak, but I am afraid that we do not have a stand-up shower.
The Beams room is a slightly larger bedroom, under an equally unsurprising beamed roof, also with a super comfy double bed, a sofa, a spacious wardrobe and an eclectic collection of crime/thriller fiction dating back to the pre-Kindle age.
The Beams room has a private but separate rather than ensuite bathroom just one step (1 yard) across the landing from the Beams room door. Guests have been known to fall asleep in this bath…
Thankfully our internet connectivity was upgraded as part of the Fastershire initiative and so we now luxuriate in a Gigaclear 50Mbps fibre connection and a wi-fi network that provides good access all round the house.
PLEASE NOTE: WE ONLY HAVE BATHS!
NEITHER BATHROOM HAS A SEPARATE SHOWER ROOM.
